Playing with Photos

Hoping the cheerful new blog layout will get me through the drab winter months.

We recently took a vacation to Disney and Seacrest Beach, FL. It was fun, and we had a good time.

I have been working a lot, and had little to blog about. I am fearing the coming busy work months that are standing on the door step. Haunting me.

Kids are doing well in school. Cole just had a musical performance, Bobby Socks Rock. They did a great job. He had his first solo. I was proud of him for being so brave, standing in front of everyone, singing. He did so good.

Well, that's the short of it....

Frustrated

I am frustrated with the camera. I know I don't get to play around with it as much as I like, or should. The things I think I have learned that I think I get, when I try to put them in action, they don't work. This makes me sad.
So, anyway, was trying to use some basic manual information that I SHOULD get by now, but it just doesn't do what I think it should. Trying not to throw my camera out the window.

The Plague

Long story short, we have 3 kids with H1N1 type A, one of which has Pneumonia too. Need I say more about our week?

This virus is interesting to say the least. It seems someone could have mild symptoms, something you may write off as a cold and not think twice about it and go out about your life possibly infecting people around you. Or, you could get hit hard and be out of commission for a while. I have so much to say about this virus, but I just don't feel like giving my rant right now. If anyone has questions feel free to email me or call.

So, the kids have been down. However, we have been fortunate. There really was only one day where they didn't move much, then the fever eased up and they have wanted to play. However, they really shouldn't exert much energy so they are limited at what I will allow them to do. So, there has been a lot of arguing and crying in the house. I felt bad for them.

So, I just started ordering Christmas presents lately. The first one just came in yesterday. I got to thinking it just might make the day pass a little easier for everyone, so I caved and gave them the gift early.

Below are the boys doing what they have been doing best, laying around miserable, and playing too.

Somethings going on in the world

My 7 year old just came up to me with his point to ponder.

This week he lost two teeth. The tooth fairy visited two different times. The first visit, she left him one dollar bill. The second visit he got 2 quarters and 5 dimes.

Earlier this week, I went to the gym and paid a girl $10 to keep an eye on the kids for me. I had little cash, and new her well, so I paid her with a $5 bill and the rest in quarters.

So, my son just came up to me, this is how the conversation went.

Cole - Mom, there's something going on with the world.

Mom - Yeah, what?

Cole - Well, the tooth fairy paid me in quarters...and...well...you paid our baby sitter in quarters.

Mom - (Dang! Here I thought he was gonna go all economy on me! Dang!) No, the tooth fairy paid you $1, 2 quarters and 5 dimes. You didn't get all quarters. You are gonna have to take it up with her.

Cole - I don't know her.

Mom - Me either.

I think he knows. :) I was pretty certain he knew all along, but I guess this confirms it. But, I'm sticking to my story!
